Meet Your Photographer!

Hey, I'm Danae! One of the first questions I get asked when I meet with couples is: "umm, so how do we say your name?"

I figured I'd just help you out right off the bat; it's pronounced Duh-nay. But honestly, I'll likely respond to anything close ;)

I'm so incredibly lucky that I've found what I love to do. That doesn't mean it's always easy, but every day I'm striving to produce my

very best work and the best possible experience for my clients. I'm committed to continuing education and always learning and growing.

I specialize in weddings and telling the story of your big day. You work so hard to create the perfect wedding day and it's my job to capture

all the little details and those fleeting moments while you relax and enjoy your guests and the bliss of being newly married.

I love getting to know my couples and finding out their stories - shoot me an email, I'd love to hear yours!

I am based in Oregon City, but I'm frequently found working in Albany, Corvallis, and the rest of the Willamette Valley - all over Oregon actually!
Traveling is my favorite activity, followed closely by photography. The times I get to put those things together makes me immensely happy.
So, please don't hesitate to contact me if your wedding isn't near by. I have a camera, a passport, and I can get packed in 10 minutes!

As you'll see by my portfolio, I also enjoy hanging out with families and seniors. It's so fun for me to watch kids grow up as I take pictures of the same families year after year. Some of those kids have then come to me later for senior photos! Senior sessions hold a special place in my heart,

I love the chance to spend some one on one time with my seniors and get to hear their stories and see their personalities.

On the personal side of things;

Andrew and I have been married for 11 years - we were both studying Political Science and met as interns working at the

Oregon State Capital during the 2005 session . I eventually got distracted by shiny things  (e.g. a trusty Pentax camera from the

1970's - that I still have!) but Andrew stuck with the political side of things and now has a career in elections.

When we're not working you can find us eating our way through Portland-area restaurants, enjoying local Oregon beers,

traveling to new places, playing board games, and of course, hanging out with our two dachshunds - Brodie & Porter.

So that's a bit about me - now it's your turn!
I'd love to meet you and hear your story. Hop on over to the contact page and we'll set up a time to go

grab coffee, beer, tea or ___________. (enter your favorite drink here!)
